Central Park Elem School
Hometown:
Bossier City, LA
Class Information:
Room Number: 8
Students per Class: 16
Class Description:
There are 16 diverse learners in my classroom. The classroom is based on the book "Clifford, The Big Red Dog." There is a dog house around my classroom door to welcome the students as they enter "Put Your Paws Into First Grade" and the fun begins. Learning is fun as we use small group activities to conquer many tough subjects (to a six year old). During our day we will read many books, add, tell time, count, draw, look at the clouds, and write about numbers, our day, or what ever a six year old might dream up. If you stop by, don't be surprised, if I give you a small group and let you work with them. There are never enough volunteers so all are welcomed! We work and play hard and at the end of the day we have learned lots!
Position:
Teacher
My Philosophy:
I want to set my students minds on fire and give them the tools to find the fuel to keep the fires of eduction and learning burning for the rest of their lives!
Personal Information:
Why Do I Teach?:
I teach because I make a difference in a child's life when I show up in my classroom. I want to set my student's mind on fire and then give them the fuel to feed that fire for the rest of their lives. I want to create life long learners and those learners will become productive citizens! I teach because someone made a difference in my son's life as he went through school and I am now paying it forward.
