Class Description:
My students are a diverse and passionate group of Fifth Graders that possess a natural and refreshing enthusiasm for learning. (I had many of these students the previous school year, in Fourth Grade). My school is a large school in rural NC with the majority of the students coming from an economically disadvantaged background.

technology (i-pads, tablets), basic supplies (pens, pencils, paper), printer
My Philosophy:
I believe in challenging and engaging students incorporating a balance of 21st Century research skills, experiments, and academic rigor. I am also passionate about giving students have the freedom to read and write in a "risk free" environment!

Why Do I Teach?:
To empower children to embrace reading and writing and to encourage them to use their knowledge to take them where they want to go!
