Hometown:
Lake George, NY
Class Information:
Position:
Technology Infusion Specialist
Needs:
We primarily need equipment to project. That could mean a projector or a TV capable of being used to mirror an iPad or Chromebook. We are also piloting a 1:1 Chromebook initiative in several ELA classes and it's going great. We would love to have some more Chromebooks to make this program a possibility in more classrooms around the school.
My Philosophy:
The effective integration of educational technology is part of what good teaching looks like today. The world we are aiming to prepare students for is a technology rich one, and we would be doing them a disservice if we didn't equip them with the skills they need to navigate that world.

Why Do I Teach?:
I believe that education is the solution to most of the world's solvable problems. I work as a technology infusion specialist because it's fun and exciting. I get to interact with all the students and teachers in the school and constantly engage in professional discussions around best practices and how to better serve students through the use of technology. I love discovering new tools and resources to share with my colleagues, and it's incredibly rewarding to see those resources used to enhance learning in the classroom.
