Class Description:
Most of my students have cognitive disabilities. Some have additional issues such as Tourette's syndrome, autism, and additional impairments. I also work with students who are visually impaired in the district.
Position:
CD/TVI teacher
My Philosophy:
I expect my students to make a good effort trying to do something before asking for help. They are required to use good manners at all times.

About Me:
I'm a grandmother who started teaching in this district 33 years ago, left to raise my 6 kids, worked in a nearby district for many years in several different areas, and am now back in the district I started in. I love being back!
College and Degrees:
I have two bachelors degrees in Special Education. They are in the areas of visual impairments and cognitive impairments. In addition, I've done quite a bit of training in the area of autism and children with multiple impairments.
Activities:
I play in 2 different bands. One is during the school year with a community college band and the other during the summer in a band that gives concerts and marches in parades.
