Why Do I Teach?:
From my first memories of playing with friends or relatives, the game most often played was "teacher." It really never crossed my mind to ever be anything else. I teach because I love challenging my students. I love to see that look they get when they finally understand a complex science topic. I also love to see former students succeed. It is so rewarding to see them graduate from college and begin their path toward the future. I teach because it just comes naturally to me. Teaching to me is challenging but not difficult. If I didn't teach, I would be lost. I briefly worked for the state department of education in my state. I loved my job working with teachers, but I missed interacting with my students. Teaching is who I am.
