Class Description:
I have a very diverse group of students with various cultural backgrounds. The kids are excited and enthusiastic about learning. They want to grow and succeed in school and improve in every way they can. My biggest challenge has been meeting their needs with the available resources while making learning fun and exciting for them. The best part of this is to hear the parents are so glad to hear their kids tell them that they want to go to school.

Needs:
We have one computer lab at the school that our class gets to use once a week for an hour. There is a wonderful library but many of the students don't have the same resources at home. The supplies I have are limited and I have worked to supplement with anything possible that I can, but even that is stretched.
My Philosophy:
I believe that every child should feel safe, wanted, valued and cared for at school. I take every child's needs that come through my classroom seriously and try to know them personally so I can see how to reach them best. I know every child can learn and should want to be at school.

About Me:
I am from a family teachers and love to teach. My parents and grandparents all were teachers and my brother is a vice-principal. My husband even taught for a while. I love working with kids and seeing them grow.
College and Degrees:
I have a bachelors and masters degree in education. I am now working on a second masters in literacy instruction to better help my students.
