Horizon Elementary School
Class Information:
Room Number: 32
Students per Class: 31
Class Description:
My special education students are in a high poverty area. They have disabilities that significantly affect their ability to learn. Some have physical disabilities; most have cognitive disabilities, all can become frustrated with learning. They could also all benefit from better learning tools. In our elementary school, I work with students in several different grades and of vastly different disabilities that include mild, moderate and severe. Little money is available for technology at our Title One school.
Position:
Special Education Teacher
Needs:
We don't have a video pojector in our classroom. We need one to show display lesson material as well as video clips and to eventually use with a Smart Board.
My Philosophy:
Any student can learn. We just need to give them the right tools and motivation.
