St Charles Borromeo School
Hometown:
Minocqua, WI
Class Information:
Students per Class: 25
Class Description:
We are a small Catholic school struggling to get by in a tough economy and declining population in our Mississippi River town. I teach grades 5-8 Science and 7-8 social studies, religion and art.
Position:
Teaching Principal
Needs:
I need an LCD projector so that we can integrate the Internet into our classroom without purchasing additional computers. The projector would also enable me to show DVDs in class (on the whiteboard) so that all students can see. They currently crowd around a small TV in the corner.
My Philosophy:
Technology is the present and future of education. Schools need to find ways to provide the students with the technology that will enable them to function in the world that is evolving all around them. To accomplish this goal, teachers need to keep up with the technologies that will help them present information to students in a meaningful way.
