Class Description:
I am currently teaching a class of 30 fifth grade students in a fairly low-income area. I have been able to include technology in my class on a basic level, and the students have met it with great enthusiasm. I hope to provide them with even greater opportunity to use technology to create and learn.
Position:
Classroom Teacher
Needs:
I would like to have a video projector and document camera to improve the effectiveness of instruction in our classroom. I am also hoping to acquire video cameras, still digital cameras, audio recorders, and gps units for use in student project-based learning.
My Philosophy:
Students learn best when they work together to create relevant, authentic projects. Technology allows a profound level of creative power within the classroom and a wonderful vehicle for student engagement.

About Me:
I am in my 6th year of teaching. I came to education after more than a decade in advertising production, specifically audio, film, and graphic design. I am able to draw on my communications background and creative skills as a teacher, incorporating real-world projects in class assignments.
College and Degrees:
I have a BS in Communications and a MA in education.
