Class Description:
I work at a virtual school in the Palm Springs Unified School District. My students attend class one day a week and work collaboratively in groups, focused on STEAM education. They also have the option of attending school another day to participate in elective classes such as art, engineering, and robotics. Students also work on digital storytelling after school.

Needs:
With our addition to our robotics program and use of digital storytelling, we need ipads to program our robots and make movies on the ipad.
My Philosophy:
I believe all students should have equal access to the curriculum regardless of the type of school they attend. I am an advocate for my students since they do not attend a traditional daily school. Building a sense of community for my students is very important to me. I want my students to love coming to school and love learning. My lessons are hands on and my students learn by creating, collaborating, communicating, and being critical thinkers.

About Me:
I have been teaching in public education for thirty years. I am a life long learner and continue to take workshops/trainingtwice a year. I love learning new things and trying it out with my students. I ask what my students are interested in and gear my curriculum to meet their needs. This year my students have expressed an interest in art, robotics, and engineering.
