Eisenhower School
Class Information:
Room Number: 17
Students per Class: 33
Class Description:
I have a wonderful class of 33 hard working fourth graders. Each student is unique and we all fit together as a team. The boys and girls of room 17 come for all backgrounds of life and bring their special traditions to our classroom.
Position:
Full Time Teacher
Needs:
Room 17 will be performing a play about the history of California as well as begin creating digital book reports. We are in need of flip cameras that we can use to complete these hands on activities in the classroom. As a classroom teacher in the age of technology it is very important to me that my students have an opportunity to work with and be exposed to technology.
My Philosophy:
I believe teaching is a rewarding career because of the opportunity to help children succeed and grow in their knowledge. My number one goal as a teacher is to guide students in their learning, helping them succeed and become confident. I will set my classroom standards high, with clear rules and procedures that make expectations easy to follow. Respect must be demonstrated by all. I believe differences should be celebrated and encouraged so students can not only learn about their peers but also appreciate cultural diversity. As a teacher, I will instill a passion and desire into each child, making them lifelong independent learners. I will be aware of each child’s learning ability and do my best to differentiate lessons accordingly, holding high expectations and challenging each student to their ability. In addition, I must focus beyond the grade but on his or her heart and motivation for learning, so they may grow in knowledge that will guide them for the rest of their lives.
