Why I need this:
Our high school yearbook students have two Canon Rebel cameras to use, one is a Canon EOS Rebel T3i (2011) and the other is a Canon EOS Rebel T5 (2014). Neither camera is intuitive to use and since they are different models it makes learning how to use them difficult. Some days are packed with events and we simply don’t have enough cameras to go around so our coverage suffers. A student may only be able to use a camera once a month at this point. They resort to using their phones which doesn’t provide the quality needed for publishing in our yearbook. I want them to feel excited to use a real camera and discover the joy of photography. There is a world of difference between their phones and a camera and I hope they will get the opportunity to find out. |
