About Me:
Christine Slawson is an enthusiastic and dedicated special education teacher in Lake Geneva and an instructor of graduate courses for Cardinal Stritch University. She has presented dynamic and practical workshops for educators and parents for her district, county, and across the state of Wisconsin. Her vast experiences include in-home autism therapy for families and consultation with other districts. She is the also the author of Real Solutions for Real Challenges by Real Teachers, AuthorHouse Publishing, 2005.
Why Do I Teach?:
I see every child as a gift. I am the fortunate one who gets to unwrap that gift and help that child see the gift that he/she truly is. I go above and beyond to help children develop their talents and value their education. I go out of my way to partner with their families and gain extra support for them. My style has been described as enthusiastic, creative, affirming, structured, fun, personally connected, multisensory, and passionate.
