Baltimore, Md.
Class Information:
Room Number: 119
Students per Class: 16
Class Description:
We are an inner city school. The students are 4-5 year olds who attend my Pre-Kindergarten Program. They are bubbling with enthusism to learn. I would like to keep that love for learning burning inside them by providing them with as many experiences as possible. Four of my students are Speech and Language impaired. One student speaks French at home and English in school. Most come from single parent homes. Most have that parent at work while they are in school. Most go to an after school day care setting. Stimulation in the home could be better. Usually, the parent has time to give their child dinner and put him/ her to bed. (not too much quality time due to economic demands)
Position:
teacher
Needs:
We need update technology. We still use record players, cassette tape players and VCR machines.
My Philosophy:
Every child can learn. Multisensory experiences are important in teaching young children. Teaching and learning should be fun. You can excel if you like what you are doing.
