Class Description:
This is my forth year at Abbotsford Elementary School as the 4K teacher. I take great pride in the program and love the inclusion aspect of it.
Position:
4K Teacher
Needs:
Incorporating a projector and a document camera in my 4K curriculum will tremendously enrich my students learning. I have large class sizes (22 students in each) and a large number of students that speak Spanish as their first language. I feel that implementing a projector and document camera will decrease the amount of times I give an instruction, so I can focus more on the learning aspect of it. Also, I feel it will provide a better understanding of the activity/lesson I am teaching because the visibility will be more prominent.

My philosophy of teaching is to challenge each student to reach his or her full potential in a nurturing environment.

About Me:
Hi, my name is Mrs. Meyer and I grew up in Edgar, WI. I currently live in the Dorchester area with my husband, Dan and three children; Braxton is six, Delaina is four and Cadence is one. Furthermore, I received my teaching degree from UW-Stout with a major in Early Childhood Education. Also, I am currently pursuing a Masters degree in Educational Technology through Marian University. I will graduate in August of 2012. This is my forth year at Abbotsford Elementary School as the 4K teacher. I take great pride in the program and love the inclusion aspect of it. My philosophy of teaching is to challenge each student to reach his or her full potential while making learning fun and maintaining a nurturing environment!
Interests:
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, running and learning new things.
