Class Description:
This year I am teaching Seminar. Seminar is a student success course where we get to teach a lot of the skills that don't fit in the standard curriculum but are vital to helping students become responsible contributing members of society.
Needs:
We need digital cameras, iPods, video cameras, digital audio recorders, podcasting packs of sounds and images, and neo laptops. All of these things would help to increase motivation and drive in the classroom as well as replace outdated equipment.
My Philosophy:
I believe that every child can learn. Moreover, I firmly believe that I teach children first and subject area comes second. If my kids trust me and have faith in me, they go farther. I believe that technology in the classroom allows me to compete with the technology the kids are so accustomed to outside of the classroom.
