Why Do I Teach?:
I am an artist and constructivist-readingteacher by training and a social-reconstructivistby nature. I believe in the inherent worth and dignity of every individual. I believe that if I am not part of the solution I am part of the problem. I became a teacher to BE A Public School TEACHER of urban dual language learners. I believe that reading and writing is KEY to a child's success and that children are our future. They are counting on us to provide what they need to become successful, participating, and contributing adults in our democratic society.
