Class Description:
8th Grade Science 10th Grade Biology 11-12 Anatomy and Physiology

Science Teacher
Needs:
As all my classes are designed for inquiry based learning and we have very limited access to textbooks, we need 10-20 laptop computers with internet access set up on a mobile lab, where students can independently research and generate work for assessment.
My Philosophy:
I believe that students learn best when actively engaged in the learning process. I see my role as a coach or facilitator who guides students as they “figure it out”. To this end, my classroom always looks busy. It is a student-based classroom, where I am not the focal point the majority of the time, but just one of twenty or so moving parts. I believe that like any good coach, I must recognize that all students have different strengths and weaknesses as learners. It is my job to take advantage of a student’s strengths, improve their areas of weakness, and put them in a position where they feel like they can succeed, while at the same time challenging them to expand their skills and knowledge base.
