About Me:
This is my fifth year teaching at Windermere Elementary. After teaching two years in Kindergarten and then the last two years in Pre-Kindergarten I am very pleased to be rejoining my Kindergarten team once again! I love working with such a loving age group. Each day holds a new adventure! Windermere Elementary is a terrific school with great teachers, administrators, and others who love to work with children. A few things about Mrs. May I went to college at the University of Delaware. I have a degree in both Elementary and Early Childhood Education. Delaware was also the beautiful state in which I was grew up in. Before I came to Windermere I was a preschool teacher in Elkton Maryland, working with 2-5 year olds. In addition to teaching here at Windermere Elementary, I am also an Early Childhood Instructor at Orlando Tech where I have to privilege of sharing my joy and passion for early childhood with my adult students. When I’m not teaching Kindergarten at Windermere Elementary, my favorite things to do are to shop, decorate, relax in the sun and read books. Funny, but true, I have a passion for finding new Children's literature. I LOVE the smell of a new book! I was recently married to another Windermere Teacher on September 22, 2007. My husband and I have two wonderful dogs Tiki and Vader. (Can you tell my husband is a Star Wars fan!)
