A primary grades, BOCES center-based 6:1:1 classroom that follows the Reclaiming model for working with at-risk students.

Special Education Teacher
Needs:
Everything--our Reclaim classrooms often get hand-me downs from other classes and often the teachers are purchasing many materials with their own money.
My Philosophy:
Every child deserves the right to learn in a supportive and caring environment where they are treated with respect and dignity.

Why Do I Teach?:
I choose to teach those children that our society considers "throw away" kids (ED/Behaviorally challenging students) because every human being deserves to be treated with respect and dignity and every child deserves the chance to learn in a supportive and caring environment.
