Why Do I Teach?:
I believe in the Power of One. I have seen one person stand up for another and make a difference. I have experienced the support of one person when everyone else had walked away. It only takes one person and the committment of that one person to bring change. It may not be "moving mountains" change, but it may be an "aha moment" change or "thanks for listening" change that keeps that student moving forward, if only for one more day. That one more day can lead to more days. I want to be a part of the Power. I also teach because there's always one student each year that makes a difference in my life as well. That helps me see the world differently, or makes me appreciate my own little world a little more.
