Class Information:
Students per Class: 18
Class Description:
Our classroom is filled with eager young minds who are willing and able to learn. We are a multi-grade classroom with 18 total students in grades 3, 4, and 5. Our classroom instills positive models that teach self-responsibility.The classroom does not believe in stagnant students so the students are met at their level and pushed beyond their needs. This multi-grade classroom is taught all subjects by one teacher. This makes supplemental resources vital for positive improvement.
Position:
Teacher/Technology& Athletic Director
Needs:
Our classroom needs more supplemental resources that reach the students' hands-on, auditory, visual, and tactile needs. Students that fall behind in various subjects in a large multi-grade classroom need supplemental resources with the latest models for children to help their difficulties and build up their framework of knowledge.
My Philosophy:
As an educator, I believe that it is my job to impart knowledge of curriculum and country in each student. The minds of each child needs to be molded step-by-step, in various sequences, as building blocks for the students' higher education. Meeting each child at their needs using differentiated instruction to instill positive learning is my number one goal of each lesson of each subject.
Personal Information:
About Me:
I was born in Show Low, AZ of two parents who have been teachers all their professional life. I lived in Tacoma, WA where I continued my private education. I followed my older brother to a small town in MN called New Ulm where I found a passion for teaching children and sharing the Word of God with kids every day. I graduated May of 2009 and received a job offer to East Fork Lutheran School in Whiteriver, AZ and taught there for three years. I married my beautiful wife in 2012 in Minnesota and was offered a teaching position at Faith Lutheran School in Tacoma, WA. We moved to Tacoma in July of 2012 and am teaching grades 3-5 in the elementary school.

Why Do I Teach?:
Imparting knowledge and molding the minds of students on a daily basis is what make my job a position of interest to me. I get to help the young minds of the students reach and supersede their potential every day. I also get to interact and build relationships with young students who have troubled homes and difficult environments where our classroom is not only an educational environment but also a safe haven; a place where each child feels welcome and are eager to learn.
