Class Description:
My class is full of 25 amazing 7 & 8 year-olds who love learning! Our class is a Sheltered English Immersion class, meaning that every student is learning English as their second language. All of the students come from Spanish-speaking homes and have little access to English outside of school.

Needs:
Our students have very little access to many items at home and at school. While many schools have many privileges, our schools is struggling to find enough pencils and chairs. We have next to zero in terms of new technology. Many classrooms have computers still running Windows 2000. The best technology on our hall is an old TV with a DVD player on a cart to share...
My Philosophy:
I believe that every student, no matter his/her background, has the capability of learning when presented with information in an appropriate way. While students may learn differently, an effective teacher can use a variety of strategies and resources to reach every student.
