School: J. B. Wilmeth Elementary School, McKinney, TX
Planned By: Robin Keating
Original Author: Robin Keating, McKinney
1. Determine the grouping of students (alone, partners, small groups, etc.)
2. Determine which concept about fractions each student will be responsible for "teaching".
3. Students will write the script they will be responsible for reading on the paper slilde presentation.
4. Teacher checks the script to make sure it is correct, clear, and complete (what the student will read will teach that concept about fractions).
5. Students create the "paper slide" visual(s) that illustrate what the written script is teaching.
6. Teacher checks the visuals for correctness, completeness, and clarity (will it be easy to read?)
7. Students arranges paper slides in the order (they determine).
8. Set up a Flip Camera on a tripod or determine a person (teacher, parent volunteer, or student) to hold it.
9. Students should stand in the order that matches the slides.
10. Turn on Flip Camera; check and adjust the focus/zoom as needed for the visuals to be clearly seen.
11. Press record, keeping the camera trained on the visuals--not students' faces.
12. When complete, review it.
13. When product is acceptable, follow procedures of Flip Camera on publishing/sharing the video.
