The Next Frontier Academy, a brick and mortar charter school in its second year, wants to expand to a blended learning school!

The advantages of blended learning are astounding. We believe that adding a blended learning program to our school will greatly enhance our already high instructional standards and give disadvantaged students an education program that works.

One of our goals as a school is to train students to be ready for work. We do this by enrolling them in work study programs, specifically in the agricultural industry, so that they can gain real-life knowledge that they can take to another company or even their own! We see the need for our urban kids to value work, and we are creating opportunities for them on a daily basis through our instruction and partnerships with local organizations.

The next step is to create a learning environment in which students who don't fit in at a regular school can thrive. Students will receive personal care with one-on-one interaction with our teachers. This is something that will do wonders for our kids in Akron, Ohio.

The costs are astronomical, so we have a ways to go, but we will accomplish this one way or the other to help our kids value education differently.
