I have a gifted staff of 20 students and they are all very interested in photography. They attend a rural school district where photography classes aren't an option. They are hungry for learning how to use a camera, and capturing artistic images for the Yearbook and Newsletter. They know images are important to telling their school's story and want to start making amazing yearbooks. In order for me to teach my students on using a camera we will need a set of them to learn on. Hands on learning with a partner is the best way to have a great experience with projects, enrichment activities, and special events throughout our school for the annual yearbook. First they can learn the basics of photographic composition and creation. They also photograph all events and sports teams to be included in the yearbook. The students not only learn about photography in this class, but how to do layout and design for the yearbook and newsletter which is the lasting record of the school year.
