This fundraiser is for a class-set of digital video cameras for the Gifted and Talented classes at Northwoods Middle School (formally known as Alice Birney Middle School). A Title One school where, for the longest time, academic strengths were not valued as much as physical. The cameras will be used for a number of units, including the "Our America" unit. The students explore their identity and the identity of being a member of the American community through creating a documentary that includes writing, music literacy, visual literacy, interviewing and other new literacy skills.
