I teach 1st Grade in a low-income school district where some students don't know the next time they are going to eat. When they enter my classroom, they know that they are home. There are some students that cannot read at all when they start school. A good majority of my students are also EL, so they have a hard time reading the stories on their own. I try my hardest to get each and every one of them reading at or above grade level by the time they leave my classroom. My students are eager learners and they need every support that they can get. This fundraiser is to help the students of my classroom get IPads to get some new technology to help them get some of that much needed support. These IPads will do amazing things to expand their world and raise their learning potential. I already have many ideas and programs ready to go, all I need are the IPads to download them on.
