Technology plays such a vital role in our students education. Being technologically savvy is required in most job fields nowadays. Some schools in my county even emphasize this by giving every student their own laptop. My school is not one of them because we are not Title 1. At our school, we do not receive many funds for technology. That being said, if any of the six laptops in my classroom for 18-20 children break, it is very difficult for us to fix them or get the funds to replace them. We are also required to have our students to use the computers for at least 40 minutes of the day to receive interventions for math and reading while I give other interventions. More often then not, I spend the intervention period trying to repair laptops and teach the students troubleshooting. Many teachers at my school have even bought or brought their own computers or iPads for students to use. Having even one more laptop on my classroom would make a world of a difference.
