In today's world, students need to be able to navigate technology both practically and effectively. Students need to be exposed to technology in practical and meaningful ways. Unfortunately, technology can be expensive, being a low income school, my families cannot always afford the technology necessary for their students to be fully prepared for a rigorous high school environment. The technology we currently have in the school is not always reliable and is limited, with every classroom fighting over the same 20 machines. Having a classroom set of iPads would enable my middle schoolers access to the digital world and would help them become fully prepared for high school and beyond.
