We are raising funds to buy technology equipment to meet the unique needs of our students. Equipment such as touch screen computers and Smart Boards allow our students to overcome their physical limitations, making it possible for them to learn and communicate more effectively. Our classroom deals with students who are limited by the inability to speak, as well as extreme difficult with large motor and small motor activities. Because of their limitations, they rely heavily on adults to assist with most, if not all, physical needs. They are often unable to communicate or interact with others at all. We are finding that through the use of technology we can offer them a way to make choices, play games, and open up their world to new possibilities.
