I am a high school resource specialist tasked with meeting the different needs of all my students, whether they need support in math,English, history, or science. At my charter school, we have the privilege of seeing all of our Special Education students through to college despite their label or their learning challenges. In order to meet my students where they are at, I plan on literally meeting them
in their classes. Students benefit from differentiated instruction in
their regular class, meet the same level of expectations as their
class peers. My request is for an AV cart equipped with a document camera and a projector so that I can coteach lessons with my colleagues in a more scaffolded way. I need portability because I need to be in different classrooms everyday and students need more than just pen and paper. This AV cart will give me the tools to meet the
needs of my students with auditory and visual processing challenges. This donation will not only benefit my students, it will benefit students who are not in my program. By splitting a class into differentiated groups, students will receive more one-on-one support from teachers and work at their own pace.
