I'm looking to raise a set of Chrome books for my classroom. By receiving the chrome books, I will be able to utilize the many online resources available to my students and also tier the lessons and help meet the needs of all levels of my students. I have the goal of a receiving a whole classroom set, but for now I would like to work towards receiving 5 and start small. My students are going to be working with Wiki Spaces, Study Island, Sumdog, and many other sites that would be more beneficial to them to have access to directly in the classroom versus having to reserve a lab. The chrome books are web based and have an 8 second average boot up which would allow much more computer time and less time booting up computers and transferring to the labs. Chrome books are also web based and therefore I do not have to worry about viruses on computers.
