During Hurricane Sandy, The Scholars' Academy located in Rockaway Park, suffered great damage and loss of valuable resources. With this fundraiser it would be ideal to equip classrooms with new devices to assist student learning in the 21st century.
As a highly effective and high functioning school, we have made great strides to utilize technology in the classroom via online learning and utilizing class websites where students must access grades, assignments, screencasts, and more.
With this fundraiser we are aiming to restore some sense of normalcy to a devastated community and children who are in need of technology to continue their rigorous education which is preparing them for college and the 21st century.
