25 gateways connected by a hub. Windows XP, Office 2002 the only software on the system. There are only 16 working computers now due to wear and tear. The life cycle was 5 years and we are in our 7th year.

Digital Cameras, Printers, Photo Printing Paper, New Mouse(s), New Keyboards, New Chairs, Better setup all the way around. Ink for the printers too. Photo Software, Document Camera.
My Philosophy:
That we are living in a globalized world and our children are our future to expanding with other countries through the use of technology. A Flat Classroom is the way technology can be successfully used in a classroom. Connecting with other classrooms around the world, learning from each other. Our students need to understand how outsourcing works and that technology is the source in learning globally
Personal Information:
About Me:
I have been instructing in alternative education for over 13 years. I am a single mother to 5 children. I am 45 years old. I am always looking for ways to improve the schools technology environment and help our students succeed. I even use technology to communicate with my students when I am not in school. We use email and blogs and texting.
College and Degrees:
I am currently working on a bachelor's degree in information technology. I hold a vocational certifcate with the state of Michigan.
Activities:
MACUL, ITEA, ASNE, CSTA, Yearbook, Talent Show, Holiday Breakfast, North American International Autoshow Education Day, Can Food Drive, Yearly BBQ for Students. Received the First Book Grant and the VDPS Education Excellence Grant 4 years in a row. Grant writing is something I'm active in and want to improve.

Why Do I Teach?:
I enjoy interacting with the students. They are an extension of my family. I want to help them succeed in this world and see technology as the tool to get them there. I see it as my place in this world, to give them opportunity and knowledge to succeed in what they can become. To be able overcome trials and tribulations that life deals us.
