Students will be guided in the correct way to use the software.
Students will have a time frame set aside so that they can complete their research project.

Students will begin with unit 1:The Time Clock (chronology; development through time). Students will collect data as they move through this unit.

Students will move to unit 2: Places (cultural heritage and diversity of place)collecting data for their research projects.

Students will complete unit 3: Finding Out (interpretations of history; historical exploration), and move to units 4: Rhyd-y-car (continuity and change); 5:Food and Farming (similarity and difference)

Unit 6 is an Activity Area (teacher configurable). At this point teacher will intercede to direct them to activities which will be the culmination of their reports.



Students will be quided across virtual thresholds into fascinating households from 4,000 B.C. to the present. They will be immersed in stunning videos and wonderful graphics in Welsh culture as they enter history from an exciting new angle. Historical interpretation skills will be honed as they examine folklore, architecture, chronology, archeology, cultural diversity, lifestyle and landscape in the context of houses throughout one country's history.

Standards which will be addressed:

5-1 The student will read and comprehend a variety of literary texts in print and nonprint formats

5-2 The student will read and comprehend a variety of informational texts in print and nonprint formats

5-4 The student will create written work that has a clear focus, sufficient detail, coherent organization, effective use of voice, and correct use of the conventions of written Standard American English

5-6 The student will access and use information from a variety of sources.
Cross-Curriculum Ideas
Student may compare/contrast their researched data with Native Americans.

Students may choose to create their own timeline of living quarters and describe the change or acheivements made by their family.
