-complete an IEP scavenger hunt to search for key components in their individual education plans.

-complete a mock IEP for the character "Hank Zipzer" and differentiate appropriate accommodations.

-take a multiple intelligences survey to determine their own learning style on a computer website.

-Write and word process invitations to individuals that should be in attendance at the meeting

-prepare powerpoint presentations to use at the IEP meeting

-video tape and reflect on their IEP presentations.

-create a digital portfolio of their reading ability, strengths, and areas for growth to share at the student directed IEP

-digitally record the meeting and use metacognition skills to reflect on the meeting
Cross-Curriculum Ideas
These materials can be used for many different classes and I would be able to share this with other teachers in the district. Students could create digital scrapbooks of their readers theater, writing, and goals for the following year.
