Each student will be given a list to pick one african american to research. They will do their research on the web and in books. Once they gather their information, they will create one project and gather a music composition from their person. All projects will be displayed in a "museum" for the rest of the student body to see.

All audio clips will be ready to play on a laptop, set up with headphones for people to listen to at their leisure.

Examples of projects that can be made include:

-Research Quilt (each section containing information about their musican)
-Online game/presentation (using presentation software or websites, they can create a game based on their person)
-Posters or collages

If podcasting resources were available, students would be able to create an "online museum". They would showcase facts about their person using voice recording and the music they created, on their student webpage. The advantage to the "online museum" would be anyone could view it from anywhere. Students would gain a sense of accomplishment through online publishing.
