Objective: To become familiar with origins, leaders, and basic beliefs of the world's major religions by accessing websites, reading, and completing a scavenger hunt from which the answers will then be graphically organized.

Procedures:
1. Prepare qr codes for selected websites; Number, copy, laminate, and post at locations throughout the multipurpose room.
2. Assign mobile devices to student groups and distribute "scavenger hunt" items/tasks to be completed at each station.
3. Model process of scanning codes and gathering information.
4. Assist/Facilitate as students "Scan and Win" answers to the scavenger hunt questions.
5. Compile collected information on graphic organizer/share and discuss.
6. Use mobile devices to create "summary" websites on one assigned religion (w/rubric)
7. Create and share codes for student generated websites

Materials: cardstock, laminating material, copies of scavenger hunt items, copies of template for graphic organizer

Assessment: Observation, graphic organizers, website w/ rubric
Comments
Recent school surveys and initial exposure to mobile devices in the classrooms has elicited a positive response from students, both in the desire to use these devices, as well as a heightened engagement while using them.
Cross-Curriculum Ideas
This project may be utilized by all my core team members. The process is consistent. Only the content/skills addressed would need to be modified.
Follow-Up
The goal is to implement more student-generated, published, and shared evidence of learning in a collaborative atmosphere.
