Why I need this:
Digital Ready is a nonprofit organization that seeks to provide high quality STEM education and career access to students from underserved groups in the Boston Public School system. Priority is given to students of color and students from any of Boston's transformation high schools. Access to the internet is a requirement for most STEM courses and assignments, and many students in Digital Ready do not have access to reliable wifi at home. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, options for public wifi are very limited and this lack of access has made full participation in school and the pursuit of students’ goals and passions almost impossible for many of the students Digital Ready serves. We are requesting hotspots for our students so that they may have access to the internet in their homes so that they can devote themselves to pursuing their fullest potential without internet inequity holding them back. |
