Class Description:
Teach three class - Global History for English Language Learners, Global History and Geography for the Academy of Public Service Students and Facing History and Ourselves
Position:
Teacher
My Philosophy:
To show my students that the lessons from history are relevant to many of the issues the world faces today. To make my students aware of the many issues in the world around them to help them become informed citizens. To prepare my ELL students for the Global History regents but more importantly to help them build an academic vocabulary in English that will help them build on their English language skills. For my Academy students, I want to teach them more than just history but also their place in the world and their responsibility of keeping themselves informed and active in their community. I will do this with the use of technology and other educational tools to support these goals.
