Beginner's Yearbook & Photography Club Digital Camera Mobile Lab, $2149.00, 0.00% raised
Beginner's Yearbook & Photography Club Digital Camera Mobile Lab Rank:
Single Unit Why I need this:
Top Reasons whey we would LOVE a mobile lab: 1. We have no standard set of cameras for students to use. There are about 5 different types on campus and it's hard to teach about settings because they are all different. 2. Middle school students don't have access to the plethora of cameras in the Elementary and ECE part of our school. They would love access! 3. Students are wanting to create higher quality work, and the specs on these cameras are better than the two cameras that 150 students share.
Quantity: 1 Price: $2149.00
Save money and solve your school's need for digital cameras with Tool Factory’s yearbook and Photography Club Digital Camera Lab. This versitle lab has 6 GE x400 Power Pro series cameras, Gorillapod flexible tripods, beefy memory cards and everything else you need to take great photos for your yearbook or in your photography club.

Class Information:
Room Number: Computer Lab 28
Students per Class: 150
Class Description:
All students in 5th-8th spend time in our computer lab (120 min. a week). We work on class projects, assigned by content area teachers, as well as creating products that help them better understand what it means to be a good digital citizen (http://stjstl.wikispaces.com/Netiquette).
Position:
Technology Coordinator
Needs:
We are looking for funds to purchase multimedia equipment to help support a wide range of learning opportunities. Our teachers are trying to help children learn in a way that best suits their needs (helping kids learn in their "sweet spot"). We know that kids are driven and engaged by media, so we'd like to give them every opportunity to CREATE media and not just consume it.
My Philosophy:
There are no greater tools available to teachers than technology! Our kid's are growing up in an incredibly media immersed world and we as teachers need to prepare them for that! I can't remember who said it, but "teaching is about preparing kids for THEIR future, not OUR past." Computers are to the 21st Century, what the paint brush and canvas were to previous centuries.
