Class Description:
We are and industrious and energetic group. We have a spectrum of diverse needs. We love to experience and learn new things.
Position:
First Grade Teacher
Needs:
We need tools to help us "see" the world. We need real world experiences with our environment and our communitiy. We need to be able to easily use technology to document and present our learning.
My Philosophy:
In a nutshell...I think teachers are responsible to give every student exactly the kind of experiences and tools that he or she needs to succeed. I believe every child has potential and desire to learn.

About Me:
I have been teaching for 13.5 years. I have taught 1-6 grades but first is my favorite.
College and Degrees:
Bachelors of Science, working on a Masters in Elementary Education, National Board certified.
Activities:
gardening, walking the dog on nature trails, strolling along the beach,
Favorite Books:
I can not choose a favorite book. I love childrens picture books and I collect them. I tend to choose favorite authors instead of titles.

I teach because I want to encourage and empower students and their families to make our world a better place.
