Pawcatuck Middle Sch
Hometown:
Westerly, RI
Class Information:
Room Number: 202
Students per Class: 100
Class Description:
My students come from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds and the school qualifies for Title I funds. Pawcatuck is a small town on the Connecticut/RhodeIsland border and many students do not have the opportunity to travel outside of the area. I always look for ways to use technology to bring the outside world closer to my students.
Position:
Social Studies
Needs:
I am planning on starting a photography club at school and am looking for ways to fund this project. I am always searching for new technology to use in the classroom. My school does not have built-in projectors, so finding a reliable projector is always a challenge.
My Philosophy:
I aim to increase my students' understanding of others in their community and in the outside world. I use technology to bring experiences to my students that they would otherwise not have access to. I challenge students to recognize and question stereotypes, to step outside of their comfort zone, and to actively address a problem they want to solve in their world.
Personal Information:
About Me:
