Class Description:
I teach 2nd grade Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Many of my students are all English Language Learners, and several of them have special needs. They come from a low-income neighborhood in Chicago where their parents work hard and aren't around a lot. With all the crazy things going on around them, school is often one of the only places my students feel safe and have a structured routine.

Why Do I Teach?:
I love kids! I love their enthusiasm. I love seeing the light in their eyes and the smiles on their faces when they learn something new. It gives me great joy to be a part of helping my students discover new things about the world and about themselves.
