Epson PowerLite LCD Projector, $999.95, 0.00% raised
Epson PowerLite LCD Projector
Single Unit Why I need this:
In math it's great to use for math power points, lesson presentations, and math games. It's easier for me to move around the room using a remote to check students work and offer immediate feedback. In Science I used it for virtual labs that the class can participate in, videos of current events, students are also exposed to experiments by professionals, with the lack of funding our school is unable to provide the materials needed for more complex experiments.
Quantity: 1 Price: $999.95

Needs:
My grant request is to acquire an LCD Projector for my classroom. After 10 years of teaching, my new school does not have the funding to purchase this equipment. My experience with using an LCD Projector resulted in more interactive behavior from my math and science students.

I feel the more interactive students are the better they learn. I want to introduce this technology to my students.

Why Do I Teach?:
I have always been active in education. I began as a substitute and then as a teacher's aide. Finally I had the opportunity to finish my degree. After ten years of teaching, the answer is still the same. I've always wanted to help children, whether is is with a subject or with personal problems. Teaching has such an awesome responsibility because we shape the future and know these kids better than their own families. I'd like to believe that I've touched the students I have come across, even if it's been in a small way.
