Class Description:
There are three regular ed teachers, two assistants, an AIG and EC teacher who work with a total of 60 students in a multi-age Montessori setting. Our team works together to create small groups through team teaching using various strategies developed through collaboration.
Position:
Regular Ed Multi-Age Classroom Teacher
Needs:
We need materials and manipulatives to assist in implementation of projects based on common core with respect to student interest. Materials are also needed to differentiate teaching strategies to reach various types of learners.
My Philosophy:
I believe that as a teacher it is not my place to "know everything". We are a team. We support each other, share, question, and clarify. I work hard to create an inviting environment that leads the child to self discovery enhancing intrinsic motivation toward concepts in need of mastering.

Why Do I Teach?:
In 15 years of teaching I have yet to be able to come up with anything other than one single selfish reason... the look on a child's face when he finally understands he "matters", he "can", He "will".... Well, that makes me smile and grateful to have been able to whitness the moment.
