Student Shared Listening Center, $72.00, 0.00% raised
Student Shared Listening Center
Single Unit Why I need this:
I have a great textbook resources to help my struggling readers access our Science and Social Studies textobook -- the whole textbook read aloud on CD! Great huh? The problem is, the only way I have for students to access this is to play it our loud for them (and the rest of the class) to listen to. This can be distracting to the students who can readthe text on their own, and embarrasing for the students who need the extra assistance. This set with haedphones and jackbox would solve both of my problems, allowing those who need to read along with the CD the ability to do so, without drawing attention to them or ditracting others.
Quantity: 1 Price: $72.00
The Student Shared Listening Center is ideal for situations requiring portable equipment with quality sound.

Class Description:
I teach 3 classes of approximately 30 students. I teach Science for half the school year and Social Studies for the other half. My student group this year comes from mid to low income families. MAy of their parents do not have higher education. This group in cludes several students with exceptionaly needs and quite a few students who are Englich Language Learners. Overall, this group seems to be very needy of my support both academically, fnancially, and socially.
Position:
Science and Social Studies Teacher
Needs:
Due to some changes in technology across our county, I now only have 1 computer in my classroom. We are in need of more computers for students to use as well as other technology tools to make the curriculum come alive for students such as an Interactive Board, digital cameras, CPS system, as well as basics like ink and paper for the printer. Due to budget constraints at our school, we are limited as to how often each student in my class can access a class computer to research, create, and print.
My Philosophy:
I beleive that every child can and will learn if I as the teacher provide a interesting, hands on, stimulating learning envoronment. Technology can play a huge role in getting students engaged in learning.
