Introduce students to "The Day in the Life" series via internet or hard copy books.
Break them up into teams. Each team should have 6-8 people.
The teams will meet and decide points throughout the day that define the school they attend. They should include faculty and special events.
Inform the school staff and faculty about the project after getting approval from the Principal.
Students take on the assignment on the chosen day. After shooting, they assign and photo editors and slideshow producers in each team.
The photos are downloaded, edited and made into a slideshows. Play the slideshows and choose the most inclusive, best composed images and overall best slideshow production.
The images become donations to yearbook. At our school, 140 photogs helped out and we opened the assignment up to teachers and students not enrolled in ROP Photography.
