I am hoping to buy some Ipads and/or Netbooks for my students to use in their general education classes. I currently have AlphaSmarts for students to use for note taking, typing papers, and using to record due dates. These cost about $150 to replace and we have had them for 10 years now. They were great when first purchased but now Ipads and Netbooks offer more for my students. AlphaSmarts only have 8 files of storage. Students have to delete their work. A Netbook or Ipad has the ability to store more information for all the students' classes, notes, and papers. Netbook and Ipad have calendars for students to record due dates and give students reminders of work due. Also the Netbook and Ipad will have access for the students to email their work home and back for less lost papers.
Materials: Mobile Labs, English/Language Arts, Hardware Devices
Other Items: 15 Ipad, $500.00 each, total of $7500.00
15 Netbook, $250.00 each, total of $3750.00
15 netbook case, $15.00 each, total of $225.00
15 Ipad case, $25.00 each, total of $375.00
